FAQ’s

Below please find many frequently asked questions.  If you don’t see your question, send us a message or call us and we will be happy to assist.

What is Rent to own?

When you rent to own, you are essentially making payment towards the purchase of any instrument we carry of equal or greater value.  This means that all of your rental money from the time you sign up for the rent to own program is applied towards that purchase.

If i sign up for the rent to own program, is there a penalty or charge if i change my mind and return the instrument?

There is no penalty or charge for stopping your rent to own.  It simply reverts back to a rental, or if you return the instrument all monthly payments are considered rent for those months.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept most major credit cards for a 4% processing fee.  Cash, checks and Zelle are options that have no fees.  Currently, we do not accept paypal or venmo but may explore those options at a later date when our website store is fully functioning.

Can I make installment payments on an instrument

Yes.  Installment payments are accepted with a valid Driver’s License and major credit card.  Both license and credit card name and address must match.

How often should I have my instrument cleaned or maintenanced?

If you take good care of your instrument, you should only need to bring it in once or twice a year for maintenance.

How do I return an instrument that I am renting?

You should schedule a rental return appointment on our website.  You may also contact us directly.

How do I know what size instrument to rent or purchase?

Woodwind and Brass instruments are one size.  Before you rent or purchase, you should talk with us or your teacher to make sure your instrument of choice is right for your age group and size, or one that is included within their program.

String instruments must be fit according to size.  You will be sized at your rental appointment, so please make an appointment under the appropriate category on our website.

Do I need to purchase rental insurance?

With a $50.00 deposit upon rental, you are covered for minor maintenance and repairs within the scope of normal wear and tear, determined by our repair professionals.

This is usually sufficient, however, if you feel you would be more comfortable with extra security, you may purchase additional insurance at the time of rental.
